FOOTBALL
Sheffield football Club was the firt football club in the world and it started in 1857. The English FA cup was the first national competition. England has got 40,000 football clubs, so football is very important to the ENGLISH!
¿WHAT IS THE FOOTBALL?
Football is a game played by two teams of eleven players using a round ball. Players kick the ball to each other and try to score goals by kicking the ball into a large net.
RULES
The English invented the modern rules of football:
1-A soccer match last 90 minutes and is divided in two 45-minute halves.
2-There must be 11 players in each team.
3-There are 3 changes in each team during the game.
4-All players must have the correct equipment and clothes.
5-The ball is out of play when it crosses the field limits
6-A goal is scored when the entire ball has crossed the goal line within the frame of the goal.
7-If the player commits a foul there are two cards a yellow one to warn him or a red one to expelled him
8-With two yellow cards the player is automatically expelled.
9-There must be a referee who is the authority
10-Hands must not be used inside of the field.
CRICKET
You play cricket with a small, hard ball and long bat.
RULES
- There are two teams, with eleven players in each team
- The first half of the game is the "first innings". One team thorws the ball and the other team hits it with the bat. The batsmen must wear leg guards, gloves and a helmet for protection. They hit the ball, and then they must run between two wickets. This is a run.
- In the second innings, the teams change roles.
- The team with more runs wins the game.
Tennis
Wimbkedon was the Frost tennis tournament in the world.The tournament is once a year in June and July.Its the Steam id every tennis playera yo sin Wimbkedon.The winner is very famous and gets millions of pounds in prize money.Members of the royal family always go to the tournaments and its a tradition for people to eat strawberries and cream between the games.The Millennium Building at Wimbledon has got facilities for the players , reporters and club members.Theres also a new court with 2,000 seats and a roof to protect the players from the rain.
