Read Aloud
This feature reads texts from pdfs, google drive, and websites to the student. It also reads in other languages. Watch the instruction video. Click the next arrow and practice step 1 on your own.

Color overlay
Task
1. Click on the Color overlay and Reading line guide icon on the Snap&Read tool bar. (The 2 rectangular boxes on top of each other above the highlight tool) 2. Use your mouse/trackpad to hover the cursor over text on a web page. 3. Here is a video to show you how to use the color overlay.

Using the Dictionary - (Double Click Method)
- Highlight the word you want defined.
- Right click on the page.
- On the Menu that opens hover the cursor over Snap&Read. 4.
- Select Define.
- When you are done reading the definition, click on the page to remove the Define Window.
- Here is a video of the double click method of using the dictionary.

Using the Dictionary
- Left click on the Snap&Read icon on the Chrome tool bar.
- Select options. Toggle the switch on to the right of, "Dictionary - double click definition".
- Go back to the web tab you are using Snap&Read on.
- Double click on a word you want defined. A message will appear,"Define word on Double click?"
- Click on,""Define word on Double click".
- When you are done reading the definition, click on the page to remove the Define Window.
Simplify the text vocabulary
Simplify text
- Highlight the text you want to simplify
- Click the simplify vocabulary tool.
- Click on the speaker icon to have the new text read aloud.
- Here is an instructional video for further help.
- Click next to practice step 2 on your own.
