- Epidermis: top layer of skin
- Cells are keratinocytes, which don't have blood
- Blood vessels: keeps blood flowing
- Papillary layer: outer layer of the dermis
- Contains capillaries, nerve endings, etc
- Sweat gland duct: where sweat makes its way onto the skin
- Dermis: second layer of skin
- Phagocytes (white blood cells) distributed throughout
- Hair follicle: where hair is nurtured and retired
- Reticular layer: layer of skin superficial to papillary layer
- Contains blood, sweat and oil glands, hair follicles, etc
- Sweat gland: glands where sweat is excreted
- Collagen: main structural protein found in skin
- Sebaceous glands: glands producing sebum
- Sebum helps keep hair and skin soft

Disorder: Psoriasis
Symptoms: patches of thick, red skin with flaky scales that itch and bleed
Cause: autoimmune disorder that causes skin cells to be made too quickly
Effect on body are scales, usually on the knees, elbows, and trunk region
Treatment is prevention using skin lotion, medicine, phototherapy, etc
