CUÁNDO LOS UTILIZO?
Los adjetivos en grado comparativo
El comparativo se usa en inglés para comparar diferencias entre los dos objetos a los que modifica (larger, smaller, faster, higher). Se emplea en oraciones donde comparamos dos nombres, de la manera siguiente:
Nombre (sujeto) + verbo + adjetivo en grado comparativo + than + nombre (objeto).
EXAMPLE: My house is smaller than my grandmother's house. REGLAS: 1. AGREGO ER al adjetivo corto. (fast, tall, small, rich) ejemplo : faster, taller, smaller, richer 2. MONOSILABICOS, DUPLICO ULTIMA CONSONANTE "CVC" FAT...FATTER, BIG...BIGGER, HOT...HOTTER 3. ADJETIVOS QUE CAMBIAN EN "Y" SE CAMBIA POR i y se de agrega ER EJEMPLO: HAPPY...HAPPIER, HEAVY..HEAVIER, DRY... DRIER 4. MAS DE DOS SILABAS LLEVA ANTES MORE EJEMPLO: MORE EXPENSIVE, MORE INTERESTING 5. COMPARATIVES IRREGULARES: GOOD...BETTER, BAD...WORSE, LITTLE...LESS, FAR...FUTHER/ FARTHER

Qué es un superlative y cuádo lo uso?
El superlativo se emplea para describir un objeto que se encuentra en el extremo superior o inferior de una cualidad (the tallest, the smallest, the fastest, the highest). Se utiliza en oraciones en las que comparamos un sujeto con un grupo de objetos, como aquí: Nombre (sujeto) + verbo + the + adjetivo en grado superlativo + nombre (objeto).

EL SUPERLATIVE TIENE 6 REGLAS
- A los adjetivos cortos le agregas THE....EST (TALL, OLD, BIG)
EJEMPLO. THE TALLEST building in Bogotá is Colpatria Building 2.SE AGREGA ST a los superlativos que terminan en "e" THE NICEST, THE SAFEST 3. A los adjetivos Cortos que tienen la regla CVC se le agrega EST EJEMPLO: BIG.... THE BIGGEST, THIN... THE THINNEST CUANDO EL VERBO TERMINA EN W NO SE DUPLICA 4. Cuando el adjetivo termina en "Y' se cambia a IEST EJEMPLO: UGLY.... THE UGLIEST, SPICY.... THE SPICIEST 5. Cuando el adjetivo tiene mas de dos silabas, se le agrega THE MOST Ejemplo: THE MOST INTELLIGENT, THE MOST EXPENSIVE 6. Adjetivos irregulares: GOOD.... THE BEST, BAD.... THE WORST, FAR.... FARTHEST, THE FARTHEST
