Symbolism- The snake in the center is representing symbolism by showing that "treading" onto anti-federalist territory could result in danger or misfortune. This could succesfully persuade the federalist to have a change in their opinions by hitting a nerve within their beliefs. Slogan- The slogan " Don't tread on me" shows propaganda by intimidating or alarming the federalists into joining or supporting the anti-federalists. This could successfully persuade the federalists to change their minds by showing that the anti-federalists don't fear them which could lead to serious backlash. Prestige- By using thomas Jefferson and patrick henry the propaganda, prestige, is presented because these two men were well know and well connected anti-federalists. This could persuade the federlists into looking at the situation differently by indicating that "if two well known political leaders think this then maybe i should too."
