Exceptions
Most singular nouns are made plural by simply putting an -s at the end, like cat and cats.
There are exceptions. This means that in some cases, adding just an -s is not applicable.
Exception +es
Nouns that end in certain letters ("ch", "s", "sh", "ss", "x", and "z") need to have “-es” added at the end to become plural.
