LET'S CREATE
decalogue of the artist
The poem of "Decalogue Of The Artist" is composed by Gabriela Mistral, which she wants us to be enlighten about the definition of the beauty. In her poem beauty is created by God through us and over the universe, because we are created by his likeness. We should see the beauty not in the sense of physically but in the soul. Beauty cannot define by luxury but through the spirit and we should know it first. Also we should not seek the beauty, because the beauty is living deep inside of our hearts. It was created for us to console someone’s heart and to be their fortress like the mother does to her children. Beauty is a very strong reflection of our deeds as a man and a women to the other people, but if we failed to take a good part to their life we cannot be called artist to make them see the beauty of out lives. By God’s creation we are created to value and protect the land that God given to us specially the nature.
- The Author of the poem is Gabriela Mistral - Sustenance which means supplying the necessary in life. - Console which means is to comfort, support, encourage someone. - Fort which means is to guard people or place. - You shall create beauty not to excite the senses but to give sustenance to the soul. - You shall never use beauty as a pretext for luxury and vanity but as a spiritual devotion. - The beauty you create shall be known as compassion and shall console the hearts of men. - The definition of the beauty that Gabriela defined in her poem is really indeed and right. As for my own definition beauty can only find deep inside of our hearts and also the desire of it. - You shall never use beauty as a pretext for luxury and vanity but as a spiritual devotion.
