How to talk about our daily routine?
When we talk about daily routine in English we usually use Simple present. To talk about DR it's important that we study vocabulary about this topic.
Simple Present
Daily routine
The Simple Present is used for habitual or repeated actions and situation. e.g I have breakfast at 7:00. I brush my teeth every morning.
Simple Present
AffirmativeSubject + verb (infinitive) + Complement I go to school every morning Negative Subject + do/does not + verb + complement I don't wake up at 6:00 Question Do/does + subject + verb + complement + ? Do you weke up at 6:00?
Simple Present (rules)
1. For verbs that end in -O, -CH, -SH, -SS, -X, or -Z we add -ES in the third person.
go – goes
catch – catches
wash – washes
kiss – kisses
fix – fixes
buzz – buzzes
2. For verbs that end in a consonant + Y, we remove the Y and add -IES.
marry – marries
study – studies
carry – carries NOTE: For verbs that end in a vowel + Y, we just add -S.
play – plays
enjoy – enjoys
say – says
