The DNA Journey

What is the purpose of momondo's 'The DNA Journey' project?
The main aim was to investigate how people would react and behave if they found out they had ancestors in a distant country. When the participants read their results, their surprise was immense and indescribable. Those who were convinced that they were 100% Cuban discovered that they had origins in Eastern Europe. The Englishman who had declared that he had no sympathy for Germans discovered that he was 5% German. And finally, to top it all off, two complete strangers surprisingly turn out to be cousins! All this is amazing!
Personal opinion of the project.
Personally, I have always been fascinated by the history of human migration. The history of mankind starts from this, how many times have we heard about people from Europe and the Mediterranean arriving from Asia Minor or from the cold steppes of Central Asia. So the past teaches us that travel and the meeting of races and cultures are the basis of civilisations, which for better or worse have brought us here.
The thing that many of us have forgotten is that we do not belong to one place but to all, and above all that the world we live in is never an exclusive land for some.
At the end of the day we are all the same in our diversity, no matter what colour, ethnicity, religion or country we live in makes us worse or better.
Many times I have heard on TV acts of violence against people who had the "fault" of being black or homosexual, and I thought to myself that all this makes no sense because no one should feel the least bit inferior because of the colour of their skin or their sexuality, LIVE AND LET LIVE!
"An open world begins with an open mind", this is the beautiful phrase that closed the wonderful video I told you about, short but full of meaning.
And let us always remember that never as in this particular historical moment is it necessary to reaffirm this truth to understand that the diversity that is in our nature unites us all without borders.
