When we make first conditional sentences , we express the conditions by using a present tense verb after if.
We use the first conditional to talk about conditions and consequences for real or probable situations.
We use the modal verb will to talk about the consenquence or result.
If he saves money , he will buy his video game.
We can make first conditional sentences in two different ways:
First conditional sentences can be positive or negative. We can use won't to talk about consequences that we avoid.
If you take this medicine, you will get better.
If you aren't careful, you will hurt yourself.
You will get better if you take this medicine.
You won't feel good if you eat too much candy.
