DO WE WANT TO SAVE THE PLANET?!

We’re destroying the world, and we could be the last that can do anything about it.

Pollution is a problem that affects the whole world. There are currently various forms of pollution that are gradually destroying our planet. All these forms of pollution are mainly caused by man who, despite knowing the risks he faces, still does not respect the environment in which he lives.

TYPES OF POLLUTION

SOIL POLLUTION Soil pollution is due to various factors. - excavation activities - erosion - the lowering of the level of the aquatic ground - the salinization of waters - acid rain, - the dispersion of polluted surface waters, - the use of fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture. Finally, there are phenomena limited to restricted areas, such as those caused by landfills, industrial accidents, pollution produced along the roads or urban settlements.

There are various types of pollution: - Water pollution - Air pollution - Pollution of the soil.

WATER POLLUTION The toxic substances carried by industrial and urban waste end up in the water, which also make a good contribution to bacterial pollution. Given the importance of water for life on the planet, it is easy to understand how dangerous water pollution is, which puts at risk the health of people, animals and plants, food production and environmental balance.

AIR POLLUTION Air pollution is determined by the gases that are released into the atmosphere from the exhaust pipes of cars and from industrial chimneys. All of these gases are bringing about various changes. The most serious damage caused by this type of pollution are the greenhouse effect and the ozone hole.

Wasting water is one of the main ways in which man affects the health of the planet.

The chemicals used for cleaning end up in the sewer system or are absorbed directly by the soil and then contaminate the groundwater.

Coal and natural gas are the most used energy sources to produce electricity.

Another major source of air pollution that promotes global warming are emissions from cars, trucks, planes and other motor vehicles.
