SIMPLE PRESENT

AFFIRMATIVE

Usamos el presente simple para hablar sobre lo que hacemos habitualmente.

Para hacer oraciones afirmativas tengo que añadir -s / -es al final del verbo cuando va con HE,SHE,IT. Cuando usamos I, YOU,WE,THEY el verbo no lleva ninguna -s o -es. EX1: He usually plays football EX2: I never make a snack

Añadimos -es al final de los verbos que terminan por ejemplo en: 'o', 'ch' 'sh' 'x' (wash, watch, catch, go...)

INTERROGATIVE

Para hacer la interrogativa necesitamos usar un auxiliar. En este caso vamos a utilizar DOES con (HE,SHE,IT) y DO con (I,YOU, WE,THEY). Ponemos el DO o DOES al principio de la oración. Cuando utilizamos DOES el verbo pierde la -s o -es

Ex1: He usually plays football(afirmativa) Does he play football? (interrogativa)

Ex2: They tidy their room(afirmativa) Do they tidy their room?(interrogativa)

Negative

Tenemos que añadir NOT a DO o DOES. Podemos escribir la negativa de dos maneras:1. Sin contraer: You do not play football/ She does not catch the bus 2. De forma contraída: You don't play football / She doesn't catch the bus

IMPORTANT

Al igual que ocurre en la interrogativa, cuando ponemos el doesn't el verbo pierde la -s o -es.
