One of the first things you notice when you first visit our site is a large sign as you exit the roundabout: it says BIM 3 in large dimensional letters. Our FaHCE site is historically significant. Do you know why?

What it used to be

Between 1961 and 1999, the Ensenada neighborhood called El Dique hosted the facilities for the Navy Batallion Batallón de Infantería de Marina N.° 3. The site is strategic, as it lies precisely on a triple border that joins La Plata, Ensenada and Berisso.

The Navy moved out in 1999, and the land was abandoned and empty for over ten years.
