Corporate Communications Major, Year 3
I am excited to meet all of you this year!!
Here is a little bit about me!
Here is a breif look into my life:My name is Grace Teale Vierra. I am 21 years old and I have many ambitios dreams yet am not set on a future life plan. I love to travel and be spontaneous. I am not a planner in fact, the saying, "go with the flow" is a pretty accurate description of my life. You can practically always find me with people because I am not very good at being alone and I love Jesus. I hope to be his hands and feet in this world.

If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.
Where am I from?
Where I currently reside
I am from Elk Grove, California. Never heard of it? Elk Grove is a smallish (180,000 people) town just south of Sacramento!
I am currently living on campus at Trinity Western University. I live on the second floor of Jacobson Hall!
What I have been doing to stay busy...
Quarantine Activites 101:
- Binge any TV show- Facetime everyone you know for hours - Repaint nails everyday - Master the art of making my bed on a daily basis
- Try to do a short workout- Journal - Get ahead on school - Dance parties every night - Admire every sunrise and sunset - Read new books and the Bible
How I've been spending my time..
Canadian Quarantine Act
After going home to California for Christmas, it is mandatory to quarantine upon arival in Canada. For the past week and a half I have been cooped up in my apartment!
Fortunately, my roommates are allowed to be here so I have had company and enjoy the occasional alone walk in the forest.
Favorite Memories from Christmas Break
My dad, my sister, and I went around Elk Grove and played the ABC game. This was for letter L!
For Christmas, my sister and I planned a photoshoot four our Grandparents

My Roommates:
Meaghan and Savannah made 2020 a year to remember. I was fortunate enough to move into an apartment with my best friends which has made this year and my Univiersity experience one to remember forever.
In 2021 I want to learn how to budget, manage my money, and save more than I did in the past. I want to get a couple well paying summer jobs in order to save for my future.
I started working at the brewery in August of 2020. This job has slightly taken me out of my comfort zone but it has taught me a lot about myself. Starting this job in 2020 made the reality of the pandemic more bareable.
Confidence is such a complex goal because there are so many different forms of it. This year I just want to learn to love myself on a deeper more personal level. I want to learn how to love spending time with just me!

I am passionate about people. Knowing people, meeting pople, and helping people. I hope to have a career where I can help to make other peoples lives better.
I love traveling. Traveling the world, meeting new people, and learning about other cultures is the best source of knowledge in my opinion. I think that traveling the world opens ones minde and changes there persepctives.
Prior to studying corporate communications, I was a RELS major. I love the different Biblical theories and getting into deep conversation about the matter.
Things I'm Looking Forward to in this Class!
Most specifically, I am excited to learn the different strategies on how to write a feature. I hope to learn the basic skills on how to keep a reader entertained from start to finish on my pieces. Overall, I am quite eager for this class to begin because I think that the skills taught will be very applicable to my life.
I have always loved writing and found journalism interesting, so I am really looking forward to explore creative, classic, and contemporary forms of it. I am hopeful that the intimacy of our class size will lead to thoughtful discussion and originality.
