it has a height of 348 meters, a perimeter of 9.4 km and a length of 2.5 km. It is a sacred place for the aboriginal peoples. It can change colors at sunset. On July 19, 1873, William Gosse named the sit "Ayers Roks" in tribute to Henny Ayers, Australia's Prime Minister.
