Un fiume del centro Italia che caratterizza Roma.

406 km, terzo in Italia per lunghezza dopo il Po e il Ticino.

Tra affluenti e torrenti sono 29 fiumi, ma il piu importante è il Nera.

Ha origine dalla sorgente sul Monte Fumaiolo a quasi 1300 metri d'altezza.
