STUDENT ACTIVITIES:
Student activities (also known as campus activities) are student-focused extracurricular clubs and programs offered at a college or university. Student activities are generally designed to allow students to become more involved on campus.
Often, such activities provide the students with opportunities to develop leadership, social responsibility, citizenship, volunteerism, and employment experience.

YOUTH CULTURE:
It is the way children, adolescents and young adults live and the norms,
values and practices they share. Culture is the shared symbolic systems and processes
of maintaining and transforming those systems. Youth culture differs from the culture
of older generations.
The term youth culture refers to the ways that teenagers conduct their lives. Youth culture can pertain to interests, styles, behaviors, music, beliefs, vocabulary, clothes, sports and dating. The concept behind youth culture is that adolescents are a subculture with norms, mores, behaviors, and values that differ from the main culture of older generations within society.
Cultural tendencies impact the way children participate in activities. To
engage students effectively in the student activities, teachers must know
their students and their academic abilities individually, rather than relying on racial or
ethnic stereotypes or prior experience with other students of similar backgrounds.
Studies show that highly rated academic schools also have positive school
cultures that value high academic achievements.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
BENEFITS
The students who actively participate in extracurricular activities get a lot of benefits including higher educational achievements and higher self-confidence.
These activities also decrease the use of drugs, alcohol and behavioral and disciplinary problems related to their use.
While out-of-school activities increase leadership and teamwork abilities in students.
Getting involved in extracurricular activities can help students. They will be introduced to cultural experiences that the typical classroom environment may not provide.
IMPACTS:
Theater Club: Taking part in plays on your campus can help you make friends and learn new skills (like sewing costumes or building sets). You can also join dance teams, orchestras, acting, and related performing arts clubs. For example, many schools have improv troupes where you can boost your confidence by learning how to perform onstage and improvise your communications.
Participating in a club or society gives you a doorway to the other side of university life, providing you with many opportunities to learn, develop and interact with people that are not from your course of study. At the same time, you’ll also pick up valuable lifeskills
Many student organizations provide opportunities to give back to the community, whether through acts of service, sponsoring events, or hosting charity drives. This is very good for the society. Lazarus says giving back to the community is the most rewarding part of being involved:
“The most rewarding aspect of being involved in a student organization is that you get to give back to the student community through fun events, giving them networking opportunities and offering them a chance to have fun with their peers. This adds an immense value to the learning experience.”
beING able to give back to the community.
PRODUCTIVE BREAKS:
Extracurricular activities give you something fun to do aside from school. It also gives you the chance to explore you're passions to discover things you may be interested beyond academics while taking some time off hitting the book.
LIFE SKILLS:
- On top of all of the benefits of extracurricular activities we already talked about, one of the greatest advantages extracurricular activities give you are “real world” skills:
- Goal setting
- Teamwork
- Time management
- Problem solving
- Analytical thinking
- Leadership
- Public speaking
