The O.J Simpson case (formally titled: People of the State of California v. Orenthal James Simpson) is a criminal proceeding tried by the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The trial lasts more than a year and pits a charge led by Marcia Clark and Christopher Darden against a team of ten lawyers hired by O.J Simpson to defend him. This “dream team” is made up of the best specialists in their field and includes Johnnie Cochran Jr, Robert Kardashian, Robert Shapiro, Barry Scheck and F. Lee Bailey. Each tries to convince a jury of twelve jurors whose selection process and isolation throughout the trial give rise to controversy and incidents. In court, the debates focus in turn on the use of DNA, the gloves found at the crime scene and at O.J Simpson's home, or the testimony of police officer Mark Fuhrman. During the trial, the perfect image of the former sportsman is eroded by the discovery of his domestic violence which resurfaces. After a tiring trial, the jurors only deliberate for three and a half hours. The verdict is announced on October 3, 1995, broadcast live on television, O.J Simpson is found not guilty on both counts.
