To blame someone, use: Should have + p.passé - Ex: You should not have chosen Princess Fiona Had better + p. passé Why did you ? Your turn! Lord Farquaad chose Princess Fiona. You disagree with him and think he made the wrong choice. Blame him expressing your opinion.
Express advice
Pour donner un conseil : - Should + BV --> You should marry a princess. - Had better + BV = ('d better) --> You'd better choose Fiona. - ought to + BV (obligation morale, conseil très appuyé) --> You ought to think twice. - Why don't you + BV ?--> Why don't you select the most clever one? - What about + v-ing --> What about (opting for) Snow White?
