2. Identify Barriers

Each learner will organise ideas in a coherent flow for the reader in a mindmap, document or graphic organizer.

Students will be able to plan and organise their ideas to write an essay on a topic of their choice.

• Lack of background knowledge on the topic • Difficulty in organising information • Lack of vocabulary to write on the topic • Inadequate time management skills • Lack of motivation to produce quality work

4. Develop Flexible Methods & Materials

Learners will organise their thoughts and ideas for the essay using any format including mind map, document or graphic

Learners will read articles or watch YouTube videos on their selected topics

For supports, learners may use the built-in spelling and grammar checker on MS Word, and word prediction for vocabulary. They will set individual goals and use timer to track how long they have to work to sustain focus

In small groups, learners will reflect and share the purpose of their essay, including giving relevant examples that connect to their cultural background and interests
