Newcomer Academy
New Teacher Induction Plan
Anne Miller
Theory of Action
When we provide new teachers with a structured, systematic, integrated, multi-year new teacher induction program that includes tasks focused upon the induction components of training, support, and retention, new teachers will develop the skills necessary to effectively teach and manage their classroom of learners, will transition into teaching at our school with more ease, and will be more likely to remain at Newcomer Academy, so that students will progress in English proficiency and standards mastery within a safe and welcoming learning environment as they become culturally adjusted, responsible, global citizens and prepare for academic success in mainstream JCPS schools and beyond.
