What are the main parts of the Partheon?

The phartheon of Athens, is divided into the three classical parts of a Greek temple: prosaos, naos or cella and opistodoms

Who ordered to build it? When? Why?

It was buil in the name of Athenea. It was buld around 490 BC. The Partheon of Athens, was a symbol of Greek´s indepemndence, culture and pride. It was build after the Persians devasted Athens, destroing all its grat monuments.

What was the name of the architect who build the Partheon?

The partheon was build in the time of Pericles by the architects Ictino and Calícrates.

What was the decoration of the Partheon?

The decoration was a combination of methopas, erardrums and frieze. The metopas represent different scenes. Every erardrum, had a mythologycal scene. And inside, the frieze shows the deciption of the Phanatenas, an important religious celebration

Who was the sculptor in charge of the decoration of the Partheon?

The sculptor was Jacob Von Falke. This was the name of an impotant sculture of the greek god Athenea.
