FUNCTIONS OF ANIMAL BODY PARTS

PAW

The foot of the dog, cat and lion are called "Paw". The paw is the soft part under the foot of these animals. The above animals walks on its paw.

Hoof

The foot of the goat, cow and horse are called "Hoof". A cow and a horse have 4 legs. They have one hoof on each leg. So, the cow, goat and horse have 4 hooves.

CLAW

The curved nails are called "Claws". The claws help the animals to run, to hunt the other animals, climbing on trees and tear flesh from the other animals body.

WHISKERS

Whisklers help the animals to find their way. Whiskers work as a sensory organ. The animals lion, tiger,cat and seal having whiskers on its face.

HORNS

Horns are used to defend themselves. Horns help animals cool themselves. They are also used to remove the bark from the trees.

MANE

The mane is a growth of long hair on the neck of a horse or a lion. The mane is thought to keep the neck warm .

TUSK

Tusks are not horns. Tusks are long pointed teeth. Tusks also protect the trunk. Tusks are used for digging, lifting objects and gathering food.
