DOUBLE OBJECT PASSIVE

Notice this Passive Sentence: The team was given a prize for chemical achievements. It is also possible to say: A prize for chemical achievements was given to the team.

ACTIVE AND PASSIVE

This is the Active Sentence for the two Passive Sentences:

  • The foundation gave the team a prize for chemical achievements.
  1. The team was given a prize for chemical achievements.
  2. A prize for chemical achievements was given to the team.

ACTIVE

This Active Sentence has got two objects: The foundation gave the team a prize for chemical achievements.*
