Zero and First Conditional

Conditionals - revision

Zero Conditional

We use the zero conditional to talk about things that are generally true, especially for laws and rules.

PresentSimple

Present Simple

If

If I drink too much coffee, I don't sleep well at night. Ice melts if you heat it. When the sun goes down, it gets dark..

First Conditional

We use it when we talk about PRESENT or FUTURE situations which are real and likely to happen.

PresentSimple

Future Simple

If

If I earn some money, I will go to London. If you don't know conditionals, you will learn them. If the snow falls, you can build a snowman.
