RELIGIOUS FEASTS

We have two religious feasts; Ramadan Feast and the Feast of Sacrifice. All the family gathers at the table of the eldest family member. Very delicious dishes are cooked and eaten together. Generally the eldest female member of the family, the grandmother cooks the food. It is a great opportunity to gather around the same table for grandchildren, children, parents and grandparents. It is another tradition to visit all the relatives during the feasts. While hosting the guests, baklava, Turkish coffee, Turkish delight and some other types of sweets, cookies, sarma, pastry is served. Thus, after visiting each home, you put on weight .
