The flag of the United Kingdom (1801) is made by overlapping three other flags: St. Andrew´s Cross, for Scotland. St. George´s Cross, for England. St. Patrick´s Cross, for Ireland.When the first version of the flag was made, Wales was part of England and so they shared the same flag.Lately, Wales made its own flag.
