wELCOME TO A NEW cLASS!

Today we are going to learn how electric circuits work and the symbols we have to use to represent them.

warm up!

Think about a house appliance, such as a TV. Now answer on your copybook: 1. Why does the TV remain off even if it is plugged in?

All these appliances that we have at home work because of the electric circuit inside. An electric circuit is a system or path in which the electric current circulates. The circuits transform the electric energy into another form of energy.

Now let's see how to make a simple circuit work!

Activity 1

Watch the video. You can take notes on your copybook.

Activity 2

1.Go to the the page https://www.andythelwell.com/blobz/guide.html

2.Click on section 1 and read the information.

3.Click on the the arrow to do the activity and quiz as shown in the picture.

Extra Activity!

You can try these experiments with electricity at home. Caution! You will need the supervision and the help of an adult.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atuFy-dYpqc

Write a conclusion for any of these experiments 1. Why wires can be replaced for salty water? 2. How do potatoes generate electricity?

I hope you enjoyed the session!
