It was one day before Christmas Eve when the tragedy (happen).
In the morning, Santa (put)on his winter boots, (grab) his mug with hot chocolate and (go)to the toy factory to (check)if all the toys were ready on time.
What he (see) (make)his blood run cold.
The factory (burn)and the elves (try)to prevent the spruces around the building from (catch)fire.
Santa thought 'I (not see)such a chaos as I live!' (pour)chocolate on the ground, he (call) reindeer for help.
No sooner Santa (begin)to help the elves when Rudolph (appear).
'Take the sleigh' (say) Santa 'and (fill)it with snow. Fly over the fire and put it out!'
Rudolph (follow)the order and successfully (fight) the fire. The factory was in a state of disrepair.
Nobody (know) what to do. All the toys (be)ruined and the sleigh (be) soaked. Fortunately, Mrs Claus (come)up with an idea.
'For years our elves (create) many imperfect toys. Teddy bears without an eye, dolls with one leg shorter, balls which (not bounce).' said Mrs Claus to her husband.
'I think it's high time these toys (find)their owners.' she continued.
She said that there (be)a wooden shed in the south and that's where all the imperfect toys (be)stored.
Santa had no other choice. He found the shed and filled his sack with the toys. Next day, he (embark)on his journey.
Amazingly, the toys were loved by children! As it (turn) out, they were so bored with regular toys which they so often (get), that the imperfect ones were a nice change.
Christmas was saved and the elves (continue) to store all the toys with flaws in the shed. Just in case...
