WHAT IS A PHRASAL VERB?

PHRASAL VERB = VERB + A PARTICLE (preposition/adverb)

Phrasal verbs can be divided in 2 groups

INTRANSITIVE:

They don't have objects.

TRANSITIVE:

They can be separable or inseparable.

TRANSITIVE: SEPARABLE

It means the object can goes after the phrasal verb or between the verb and the particle.

TRANSITIVE: INSEPARABLE

It means noun or the object always goes after the phrasal verb.

IMPORTANT!

We can find phrasal verbs that are TRANSITIVE and INTRANSITIVE. Remember that these verbs change the meaning.
