A veces, las personas te piden datos personales, como nombre, dirección y fecha de nacimiento. Aquí hay algunas preguntas típicas y formas en las que puede responder.

(También “how much” / “how many” para preguntar cantidades; “how long” pregunta la duración; “how often” pregunta sobre la frecuencia.)

En un formulario, a menudo se ven abreviaturas antes de un apellido. Mr. (para hombre) Mrs. / Miss. / Ms. (para,¿mujer: Mrs muestra que está casada, Miss soltera, Ms cuando no se prefiere mostrar el estatus marital – el equivaente femenino de Mr.) Dr (para mostrar que alguien es medico o tiene un Ph.D.)

2. What’s your date of birth? It’s (month – day – year: “It’s September, 22nd 2000”.) When were you born? (“On the twentysecond of September 2000”.) You can write, 22nd September 2000 or September 22nd, 2000. But when you say the date, use ordinal numbers:

1 – the first 2 – the second 3 – the third 4 – the fourth

… 20 – the twentieth 21 – the twenty-first

Either “the second of July, 1980” or “July the second, 1980”.
