Ma quali sono queste regole?

RULE 1
Si aggiunge -ed alla base form del verbo.
ex. PLAY ==> PLAYED
I played basketball yesterday.Ho giocato a basket ieri.

Si aggiunge solo -d alla base form del verbo, se questo termina con -e.
ex. LOVE ==> LOVED
I really loved my first pet.Ho veramente voluto bene al mio primo animale.

Si aggiunge -ed e si modifica la y in i, se il verbo alla base form termina con consonante + y.
ex. STUDY ==> STUDIED
I studied maths all afternoon.Ho studiato matematica tutto il pomeriggio.

RULE 4
Si aggiunge -ed e si raddoppia la consonante, se:1) il verbo alla base form e' corto (una sillaba) e termina con vocale + consonante. 2) il verbo alla base form termina per -L. 3) il verbo alla base form ha due sillabe e l'ultima e' accentata.
My mum stopped at the traffic lights. Mia mamma si e' fermata al semaforo.
