Thanksgiving is an American national holiday that was created as the day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and has been celebrated for centuries. According to records, the American tradition began in 1621, at the celebration in Plymouth, in the present state of Massachusetts, formerly New England. It is celebrated on the 23rd of December.
