Future simple and Present Continuous for future arrangements

Many students use only will or going to in order to talk about the future. However, it’s very common to use the present continuous to talk about the future, in the case of arrangements - plans which you have organised:

The present continuous tense refers to fixed future events and emphasises that plans or arrangements have already been made:

Be going to refers to future intentions that have been decided but have not been fully planned:
