On December 6th St Nicholas is celebrated. It is the day awaited by children. St Nicholas brings gifts to good children and puts them in clean boots. The night before (December 5th) you have to clean your boots and when you wake up the next morning you find a lot of beautiful things! Ioana

On 6th January there is an Italian tradition which children love! It is Epiphany Day and the Befana comes to bring children presents, gifts (especially games, dolls, toys) and a Stocking full of sweets! Befana can bring also pieces of sugar coal (if the child was naughty during the year!) We don't receive Christmas Stocking but the befana Stocking! Class 1E
One of my favourite Christmas traditions is Christmas crackers.They are colored paper tubes, closed as a candy shape. They are used as placeholder. To open a Christmas Cracker two people have to pull it simultaneously. Gabriele and Daria

My family is Polish and at Christhmas we eat tipical dishes: Pierogi and Barszcz czervony.We don't make the tree on the 8th December but on the 24th and before sitting at the table we wish each other good wishes by exchanging the host. Laura
