In Spanish the infinitive of the verbs ends on:

The verbs ending in -ar in Spanish are called first conjugation verbs or "verbos de primera conjugacion". Examples: cantar, jugar, bailar, saltar, amar, explicar... The endings of these verbs will be:

• -o
• -as
• -a
• -amos
• -ais
• -an

How do we do it?

We take -ar away from the infinitive

Example: cantar cant

Example: I sing Yo canto We sing Nosotros cantamos

We add the ending we need
