READ THESE GAME RULES CAREFULLY! Object

• The object of the game is to be the first player to decode the secret message. The secret message is spelled out counter-clockwise around the game board starting with Virginia Avenue and ending with St. James Place. Spaces between words in the secret message will be indicated by the _ symbol.

Preparation

• Game is for 1-4 players. Multi-player games may be played virtually via Zoom or Google Meet by designating one player to be the Gamemaster. The Gamemaster will share his/her screen with the rest of the players and do all the rolling of dice and dragging of game pieces at the direction of each player.
• Each player selects a game piece. Then they place their game piece on the space labeled START.

Gameplay

• On a player's turn, the player must roll the die and move his/her token forward the number of spaces as rolled on the die. Play moves in a counter-clockwise direction around the board.
• If the player lands on a property, "?" space, or "!" space that does not already contain a letter/symbol house, the player must click on the space's "+", "?", or "!" symbol and answer a question. Each answer choice will correspond to a letter or symbol. Once a player has selected an answer, the player must drag the appropriate letter/symbol house to that space.
• If the player lands on a property, "?" space, or "!" space that is already marked with a letter, the player has two choices: 1) end the turn, or 2) view the question and choose a different letter/symbol answer for that property, if they think the current answer is wrong.
• If the player lands on the "PAF!" space, the player gets to take an additional turn.
• If the player lands on the space with the light bulb, the player can click on the light bulb to receive a hint about the secret message.
• If the player lands on the "Free Parking" or "START" spaces, the turn ends there. The player does not lose any turns.
• If the player lands on the "Lose a Turn" space, the player's next turn gets skipped. (Does not apply to single-player games.)

Winning the Game

• When a player thinks they have figured out the secret message, they may click the blue button to enter it. The player will enter the message one word at a time. If the player enters all words correctly, that player wins the game. Players will also have the option to go back to the game board if they realize they do not have the correct message.
