Fixing the Unit
The unit must be fixed to the ceiling/wall/floor with suitable anchoring bolts The example shows the fixing centres, drop rod positions and requirements for a Cassette type Indoor Fan Coil Please refer to the relevant Installation Manuals for specific fixing information
Hanging Centres for drop rods
Minimum 2500mmfrom the bottom of the Cassette to the floor
Minimum 500mmfrom Cassette to wall/obstruction
Positioning of Indoor Unit
If you have no other choice but to install a cassette close to a wall or obstruction, you must block the air outlet closest to the obstruction and change the number of air outlets to 3, as shown below Change SWA and SWB to suit your application All Indoor Unit dip switch settings can be found in the Service Manual. Click on the Red Icon below to download mauals from the Document Library
One of the main considerations when positioning an Indoor Fan Coil is Airflow In this example of a 4 way blow cassette, try and keep the cassette as central to the room as possible for even Airflow distribution throughout the room
Indoor Unit Airflow
Here are some exaples of expected Air distribution and Air coverage from a standard Cassette type Indoor Fan Coil within a conditioned space

Louver angle 10 degrees @ 3.2m Ceiling Heaight
Indoor Unit Positoning Considerations
Condensate Drainage
The drain must be supported with sufficient brackets at least every 1.5 - 2m
If the Indoor Fan Coil is being installed in a ceiling void, you must make sure there is enough height for a gravitational fall for the condensate drain If the unit has an internal lift pump it can lift the condesate water as high as 850mm from the bottom of the unit. A gravitational fall is required after this point for a maximum distance of 20m
Drain Bracket
Maximum of 150mm from the cassette to the centre of the drain right angle elbow joint
850mm Maximum Drain lift from the bottom of the cassette
