Books and movies are full of quotes and aphorisms.We might find philosophical phrases with deep meanings on life and mankind or funny quotes with jokes about people's habits. Some of them give us a laugh, some others enter our thoughts and make us think and reflect about deeper matters. I might look too grown up to watch cartoons, but there is one that I keep watching since I was a baby and of which, only now, I understand the real meaning: KUNG FU PANDA! The movie is full of quotes about the way we should live our life or how we should find to fullfil our needs and dreams. Apparently, it might seem just a cartoon with a funny, overweight panda who makes noodles and eats all the time, without any particular quality, shy and not very brave. Just like many of us... It would be nice to meet someone like Master Oogway... someone that could give us the strenght to go deep in ourselves and help to find out our real nature. I've got my Master Oogway and hope everybody could find his one. The following quote is my favourite one

As I've just said, this quote comes from the cartoon KUNG FU PANDA where Master Oogway is the fountain of wisdom, the Master who unraveled the mysteries of harmony and focus...he is the father of KUNG FU. He delivers deep knowledge and wisdom and everybody listens to him to learn the real meaning of life. He tries to explain to Po the oneness of existence. He wants to help Po to understand that Yesterday is over, whatever happened, happened and whatever didn’t happen, didn’t happen. Spending time and energy today, regretting things that are now history is a waste of energy. Tomorrow is a mystery. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, even if we make plans, the future is out of our direct control. But today is a gift. We have it here and now. We have control over our thoughts and our feelings. We have the power to give a meaning to our present. The first part of the movie is about the characters, including Po, the Kung Fu Panda, the overweight panda that doesn't believe that he can become the Dragon Warrior. It is his destiny but only Master Oogway can see that. He wants us to understand that we are who we are. We must discover who we are and love ourselves for who we are, respect ourselves for who we are. We should always follow our real nature because if we don't, we might have a successful and rich life, but at the end we will feel empty and our happyness will be an illusion, if those reached goals were contrary to our nature. Soon or late, we will have to take a deep look at ourselves and see if we have taken the right direction in our life and where this direction is heading to. It is better to take a moment now and listen to our heart to try to understand if we are on the right path, the path of our destiny, of our real nature. If not, we will save a lot of time and maybe also a lot of struggling, involved in something that is not for us.

This is my favorite quote of the movie.

Our life may not have a happy beginning but that does not make us who we are. It is the rest of it when we can choose who we want to be, that counts.If we only do what we can do, we will never be more than who we are. It represents very clearly my life philosophy: we must not live with the regrets of the past, nor with the anxieties for an unknown future, but we must live our present as if it was a gift. I am a very positive girl and I like dreaming, but at the same time, I am very down to earth and I enjoy life day by day, trying to be myself and following my deepest nature.
