Passive Voice
What do we refer with "Passive Voice"?
- Passive Voice is a way to contruct sentences to emphazise the object/person that experiences or receives an action.
- Also it is used when we do not know the doer of an action or it is not important.

OBJECT/COMPLEMENT + AUX + VERB + by + SUBJECT (AGENT)
Structure of passive sentences
What happens with the verb?
- We add an aditional auxiliar verb (TO BE verb)
- (IS - ARE)
- The verb in simple present tense is changed to past participle
- EAT --> EATEN
- If the sentence is negative, we add the negative auxiliars
- ISN'T - AREN'T
Examples
- Students create a robot.
- A robot is created by students
- He plays basketball
- Basketball is played
- They build a house
- A house is built
- Scientits discovers more than 2000 species of animals every year
- Mora than 2000 species of animals are discovered every year
