01 Present simple

Czasu present simple używamy do : - opisywania przyzwyczajeń i nawyków; I listen to music in the morning. - podawania informacji zawsze prawdziwych; Spring always starts on 21st March. - mówienia o naszych upodobaniach; I don't like sport. W czasie present simple często używamy przysłówków częstotliwości, takich jak : always, usually, often, sometimes, rarely, hardly ever i never. Wstawiamy je przed czasownikiem, chyba że tym czasownikiem jest be. Wówczas przysłówek częstotliwości umieszczamy po tym czsowniku; I sometimes go to the cinema at the weekend. W czasie present simple używamy określeń czasu, jak : once a week, every day, at the weekend, in the morning, on Mondays itp. Wstawiamy je zwykle na końcu zdania; My mom drinks coffee in the morning.

Czasu present continuous używamy do opisywania: - czynności odbywających się w tej chwili; I am listening to music. What are you doing right now? - sytuacji tymczsowych I usually go to school by bus, but this week I'm walking. W czasach typu continuous zazwyczaj nie używamy czasowników: love, like, hate, want, understand, know, think, belive, remember, need. W czasie present continuous używamy takich określeń czasu jak: now, at this moment, this month itp. I'm studying right now. My friend is learning Japanese this year.

W pytaniach pośrednich używamy zwrotów takich jak; - I want to know ... - Can/Could you tell me ... - I wonder/ I was wondering ... Direct question: Where is the cinema? Indirect question: I want to know where the cinema is? Can you tell me where the cinema is? I was wondering where the cinema is? Pytania pośrednie tworzone są przez inwersję. Przykłady: Why have you done it? Could you tell me why you have done it? Is she tired? Can you tell me if she is tired?
