Al-Khwarizmi

Bio

De 780 à 850

Al-Khwarizmi s'est illusté dans plusieurs domaines ( dont la géographie, l'astrologie...), et plus particulièrement en mathematiques. Son nom est à l'origine du mot "algorithme" et l'un de ses livre ("Abrégé du calcul par la restauration et la comparaison") est à l'origine du mot algèbre. De plus il est le premier à utiliser le chiffre zéro, fondamental pour la suite des mathématiques.
