Ruby Bridges
Ruby Bridges is an African-American born in 1954 in the USA. She is known thanks to a work of art made by Norman Rockwell in 1964 named "The Problem We All Live With". Because of her past and her strength, she became an activist and create the "Ruby Bridges Foundation" which the goal is to promote the tolerance,the respect and to put an end to the racism. She's a symbol of the struggle against racism and her name appaers in songs, schools names and hawards .In 2011, at the White House, Barack Obama met her in front of the painting expose on the wall.
The Problem We All Live With
Ruby Bridges was the fisrt african-american child who integrated a white public school after the desegregation in 1960. She were escorted by federal marshals to go to school because of the threats she received evry days. This story was used by Norman Rockwell to do his painting named: "The Problem We All Live With".
