Evacuation
You must maintain your vacuum pump and ensure the oil is changed on a regular basis to obtain optimal performance.
The VRF City Multi system must be evacuated thoroughly to ensure all moisture and air is removed from the refrigerant pipework and Indoor units.
Guidance for Evacuation
- Use the Gas Ballast Valve at the start of evacuation use
- Triple evacuation if moisture contamination is suspected
- Evacuate through all available ports
- Measure the vacuum with an accurate vacuum gauge to below 5 Torr
- Carry out pressure rise test (maximum of 1 Torr rise over 1 hour)
If the system is not evacuated correctly and air/moisture is still present, the Oil in the refrigerant circuit will become Acidic.
