Contable Nouns

The countable nous are the ones that can be count. e,g.: one apple, two apples, three apples.

Uncontable Nouns

Meanwhile, the uncontable nouns, are the ones that can't be counted because the can't be individualized. e.g.: wood, water, salt, sugar.

However, we can make uncountable nouns countable if we delimitated them. e.g.: a piece of wood, two cups of water.

The use of these quantifiers is to express negative ideas or to ask questions. For example: She doesn’t need much time Is there still much to do? I don’t have many relatives in the city Do you think many students will fail?
