R2 City Multi Heat Recovery System

Branch Control (BC) Box

The R2 VRF City Multi system uses a BC Box to allow simultaneous Heating and Cooling operation from a 2 pipe system

COP

The BC Box moves energy from one unit to another creating a super efficient system

Upto

11.85

Simultaneous Heating and Cooling

Half in Cooling

Half in Heating

Capacity Range

You can modulate several VRF Outdoor units together to create one High capacity system upto a maximum of 1100

PURY

Available in capacity range 200 to 1100

P1100

P200

BC Box Range

Click on the BC Box for more Information

Small capacity 4-6 Port

Standard Main 8 to 16 Port

Large capacity Main 16 Port

BC Boxes MUST be installed Indoors and kept within temperature range 0 - 32 degrees Maximum of 140 capacity per BC Box port Reccomended 1 unit per port but it is allowable to have 3 units per port as long as you do not exceed 140 capacity

Sub Box 4-8 Port

Optional Individual shut-off valves for each port available

R2 System Capacity Indexing

When designing and Installing VRF systems you need to make sure the Outdoor unit can operate and accommodate the total amount of Indoor Unit capacity required It is natural to assume that if you are installing a P250 Outdoor Unit you can have 250 worth of Indoor Fan Coils (5 x P50 Indoors for example) This is where system Indexing comes in.......

150%

R2 Systems (PURY/PQRY) allow you to over Index the amount of Indoor Units connected by 150%!!

It works on the assumption that all Indoor Fan Coils will not be operating at the same time, therefore, the system can target the Indoor units that require Heating/Cooling and achieve temperature before other Indoor fan coils come into demand

So what does this actually mean?

If you Installed 1 xPUHY-P250YNW-A Outdoor unit =250 8 x PLFY-P50VCM-E Indoor Fan Coils =400 400 / 250 = 160% This is not acceptable as it exceeds 150%

If you Installed 1 xPURY-P250YNW-A Outdoor unit =250 7 x PLFY-P50VCM-E Indoor Fan Coils =350 350 / 250 = 140% This is acceptable as it is less than 150%
