Fake braces have become an alarming trend in Malaysia and there is a lack of information about their effects on various aspects.
We aim to investigate the main reason why people still use fake braces and the implementation of law towards the fake dentist.
Even though, it is stated that whoever is responsible or found guilty in providing dental services without being registered in contravention of Section 27 of the Private Healthcare and Services Act of 1998 will face a maximum sentence of RM300,000 fine or 6 years imprisonment or both.
