ROMANIAN LEADERS
Ștefan cel Mare, or Stephen the Great, was the ruler of Moldovia between 1457 and 1504. Stephen ruled for 47 years, the longest reign in the Romanian Countries.
Stephen the Great had 36 battles, out of which 34 were victorious. We say that after each important victory he had a church built. That is why Stephen the Great was declared to be a saint in 1992.
Do you know that very many colleges in Romania bear the name of „Ștefan cel Mare”? And almost every town in Romania has a statue of Stephen the Great or a street with his name?
"Stephen the Great's army was small, but his military genius was colossal, being considered by the Polish chronicler Jan Dlugosz a greater military genius than Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar." (Dan Begu)

History shows us that the citizens of Romania have been able to build an identity, as a nation, by building things exactly in this way and I have no doubt that this is the spirit that they only have to remember. I come to tell them that it is important to return to this model, that it is time to rediscover these values."
