Form and use

We use Present Continuous to talk about - activities in progress at the time of speaking - and temporary situations.

I am teaching from home at the moment. We are connecting to class through Google Meet.

Affirmative Form

Pronoun + verb to be + main verb with -ing + the rest of the sentence... . You are taking a nap at the moment. We are solving a Worksheet today.

Negative Form

Pronoun + verb to be + not + main verb with -ing + the rest of the sentence... . You are not taking a nap at the moment. We are not solving a Quizizz today.

Making questions in Present Continuous

Verb to be + pronoun + main verb with -ing + the rest of the sentence with a ? Am I doing homework at the moment? Are you playing tennis right now? Is he playing Quizizz today? The short answer would be: Yes, I am - No, I am not.
