what is multiplication?

Multiplication is a

Quick and powerful way of adding the same number over and over again.

Example:

3 types of circles

three groups of five of each circle

3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 15

3 x 5 = 15

3 x 5

Example:

Count the objects

4 + 4 = 8

4 x 2 = 8

4 x 2

Example:

Count the objects

2 + 2 + 2 = 6

3 x 2 = 6

Meaning of x = times( It means you're multiplying)

0 x 7 = 0

0 x 1 = 0

0 x 8 = 0

0 x 2 = 0

0 x 9 = 0

0 x 3 = 0

0 x 4 = 0

0 x 10 = 0

0 x 5 = 0

0 x 11 = 0

0 x 12 = 0

0 x 6 = 0

Multiplying by 0 always results in an answer is 0.
